My name is Bec Hayden, and I have been involved with photography industry for more than 20 years.
Growing up, I would go through piles and piles of family photos, looking and reminiscing about different stages in my family's life. This is what I love about photos: the memories they invoke, and being able to look back on that moment.
I started working as Black & White photographic developer for my home town newspaper when I was still at school. I worked with film and paper developing in a dark room, which taught me a great deal about the fine art of photography. This also gave m the opportunity to photograph local events.
When I left school, I completed a Traineeship in Photographic Developing and Printing in Wagga Wagga. I extended my training to obtain Certificate III in Photography from the National Photographic Training College. I became a Civilian Photographer at Kapooka Army Base, photographing an array of images from portraits to action.
A few years later, I moved to Griffith, NSW, where I was a Colour Printer Operator at Camera House. At the same time, it was here that RJH Photography was born. I also worked at the Area Newspaper as a casual weekend photographer occasionally, covering many sporting events, including a Melbourne Storm v Parramatta Eels game.
I now live Orange, in the Central West of NSW, with my own little family.
RJH Photography is over 12 years old, and I thrive on working with people, whether it be parents and their children, or a couple on their wedding day.
We will work together leading up to your wedding day, to ensure you are relaxed, and are able to enjoy your special day without worrying about your photographer. When I arrive on the day, I want you to feel like you are seeing an old friend.
My experience in printing, combined with my experience as a photographer, ensures your photos are of the highest standard, from capture to print.
I am looking forward to capturing those special memories for you, and your family, to look back on for years to come.
